Software AG, a provider of business infrastructure software, reently announced the availability of webMethods Insight, a new addition to its SOA management suite that brings enhanced visibility and control to SOA runtime environments.
Software AG claims that webMethods Insight provides enterprises with monitoring, policy enforcement and provisioning of runtime services. With deep integration with CentraSite webMethods Insight helps users optimize service performance across the entire SOA lifecycle.
webMethods Insight enables users to gain real-time insight into service performance; automatically detect invocation patterns and map service dependences; and discover and document ad-hoc business processes requiring formalized management.
The new solution also helps manage service-level agreements centrally for consistent, enterprise-wide enforcement; take advantage of real-time metrics to actively manage services and to proactively alert users of pending service-level agreement (SLA) violations; and utilize root-cause analysis to resolve discrepancies faster.
webMethods Insight also enables users to implement ‘last mile security' so that users cannot bypass defined security, privacy, and regulatory requirements; identify rogue services and bring them into the governance process; and monitor policy-related activities to preempt potential problems.
Developed in partnership with Progress Software, webMethods Insight will be available exclusively from Software AG as of October 1, 2008. |
